TOURING EXHIBITION „REGENIAL“

Exhibition of the winning projects from the sponge city competition at the ‘Forum Die grüne Stadt’ On Monday, 25 November 2024, the winning projects of the „REGENIAL!“ competition were exhibited at the „Forum die grüne Stadt’, including our project for the water-sensitive conversion of the schoolyard at St Ursula primary school in Berlin Zehlendorf. START OF CONSTRUCTION WORK AT SALVATOR SCHOOL

A new sports hall and canteen are being built The construction of a new sports hall and canteen for the Salvator Catholic School in Berlin-Reinickendorf has begun! In addition to planning the outdoor facilities, we are also carrying out the ecological construction supervision for this project.
SECOND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTION PROJECT WITH AWO

1st Participation day in Prenzlau In addition to our project for the assisted living facility in Wittstock/Dosse, we are now also developing climate change adaptation concepts for the ‘Dr Margarete Blank’ retirement home in Prenzlau in cooperation with and for the AWO. The first participation day with residents and staff has now taken place.
NEXT PROJECT ON THE FORMER BERLIN WALL STRIP

Building application submitted for Bernauer Straße 36 Our next project at Bernauer Strasse in Berlin is progressing well! In direct vicinity of our project at Bernauer Strasse 26 & 34, we have now submitted the planning application for No. 36 together with KOLLENDT WALDSCHMIDT Architekten. This site is also located directly on the former Berlin Wall strip.
2ND PARTICIPATION DAY ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTION

Assisted living in Wittstock Our participation days enter their second round! Back at assisted living facility „Haus unter den Linden“ in Wittstock/Dosse, we once again spoke to the residents and staff on site. The aim of the project with the AWO is to develop strategies and concrete measures for dealing with the ecological and social challenges posed by climate change and its consequences.
SPONGE CITY TOUR ST. URSULA

Week of Climate Adaption As part of the Climate Adaptation Week and as a result of winning the REGENIAL! competition, we organised a guided tour of the water-sensitive schoolyard at St. Ursula primary school in Zehlendorf in collaboration with the Berlin Rainwater Agency.
WE’RE RETRACING THE BERLIN WALL

Construction progress at Bernauer Straße 26/34 The construction of the two residential buildings at Bernauer Strasse 26/34 is progressing quickly. Due to the location right on the former Wall strip, we are tracing the historical course of the Wall directly in front of the building façade in consultation with the Stiftung Berliner Mauer (Berlin Wall Foundation). We are very happy that we are able to make a small contribution to bringing the history of the city to life.
AWARD CEREMONY AND PRESENTATION

REGENIAL! — Berlin award for water-sensitive planning As part of the Rainwater Forum, organised by the Berlin Rainwater Agency, the award ceremony for the REGENIAL! sponge city competition took place, where Joerg Coqui did a presentation about our award-winning project, the schoolyard of the St. Ursula primary school in Berlin-Zehlendorf, and received the prize. WINNER REGENIAL 2024

Berlin award for water-sensitive planning Our project for the water-sensitive conversion of the schoolyard of the St. Ursula primary school in Berlin Zehlendorf was awarded as winner of the REGENIAL! sponge city competition organised by the Regenwasseragentur Berlin. It was emphasised that, despite a low budget, it was possible to achieve large-scale unsealing, a near-natural design and to use all the rainwater on site instead of discharging it into the sewage system.We are very happy about the award and the increasing attention on the topic of the sponge city!
CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTION IN SOCIAL FACILITIES

1st Participation day in Wittstock/Dosse Together with AWO, we are developing strategies for two social facilities to deal with climate change and its consequences and to adapt ecologically and socially to the new conditions.The first participation day now took place with the residents and staff at the assisted living facility „Haus unter den Linden“ in Wittstock/Dosse, where we were able to gather exciting and important impressions.
