RAINWATER TOUR

…as part of InfraSPREE 2025 Joerg Th. Coqui and Iza Malachowska-Coqui gave a tour of the office complex at Landsberger Allee 52 — Berlin’s first cross-property rainwater solution as part of InfraSPREE 2025. We say, following Karl Valentin: ‘I am happy when it rains, because if I am not happy, it rains anyway.’

ANOTHER AWARD AT THE FLAT ROOF CONTEST

7th place for Gaillardstraße 28… … yesterday we were delighted to receive 8th place for Landsberger Allee 52, and today our office has been awarded 7th place in the Flat Roof Contest for ‘Living in Green Surroundings’ on Gaillardstraße in Berlin, this time in collaboration with Hastrich Keuthage Architects and ARCHIGON GmbH. A project that, despite the most difficult conditions, has made many social wishes come true in the smallest of spaces in two Berlin backyards, in addition to its ecological qualities and low cost. We are delighted for a client for whom we have not been able to realise the first client award.
AWARD AT FLAT ROOF CONTEST

8th place for Landsberger Allee 52 We are delighted to receive this award, along with architect Manfred Treiling, as one of only a few projects for the sustainable office complex at Landsberger Allee 52 (DGNB PLATIN), which we have named ‘OFFICES FOR TOMORROW’. In addition to its extremely economical design in terms of both investment and operation, the cross-property rainwater management system in collaboration with OIKOTEC and the Parochialfriedhof cemetery is also groundbreaking. Thank you to all those involved.
A HOUSE FOR CHILDREN

A place to feel good, explore and play. The stunning landscape forms the heart of our design. Iza and Emilian have already been on site to prepare the groundwork.
REUSE OF THE HOSPITAL COURTYARD WITH CHURCH IN ZITTAU

Competition entry with Atelier Starzak Strebicki Our revitalisation proposal for the listed hospital estate on Martin-Wehnert-Platz in Zittau pursues a careful redesign of the existing building in three transformation phases, with respect for its historical heritage. The new courtyard, as the heart of the ensemble, forms the central communal space and connects architecture, landscape and city. The use of ecological materials, sustainable rainwater management and participatory processes are part of the sustainable urban renewal. The result is a place that preserves history and provides new impetus for urban life.
CLIMATE ADAPTATION WEEK WITH CMC

The fully booked event last week saw Joerg Th. Coqui guide 40 people through the courtyards and along the green façades of the Institute of Physics at Humboldt University in Berlin. The great interest shown once again demonstrates the continuing relevance of this project, which was completed in 2003 and won the German Landscape Architecture Prize in the category ‘maturity examination’ in 2025.
