WE’RE RETRACING THE BERLIN WALL

Con­s­truc­tion pro­gress at Ber­nau­er Stra­ße 26/34 The con­s­truc­tion of the two resi­den­ti­al buil­dings at Ber­nau­er Strasse 26/34 is pro­gres­sing quick­ly. Due to the loca­ti­on right on the for­mer Wall strip, we are tra­cing the his­to­ri­cal cour­se of the Wall direct­ly in front of the buil­ding faça­de in con­sul­ta­ti­on with the Stif­tung Ber­li­ner Mau­er (Ber­lin Wall Foun­da­ti­on). We are very hap­py that we are able to make a small con­tri­bu­ti­on to brin­ging the histo­ry of the city to life.

REGE­NI­AL! — Ber­lin award for water-sen­­si­­ti­­ve plan­ning As part of the Rain­wa­ter Forum, orga­nis­ed by the Ber­lin Rain­wa­ter Agen­cy, the award cerem­o­ny for the REGE­NI­AL! spon­ge city com­pe­ti­ti­on took place, whe­re Joerg Coqui did a pre­sen­ta­ti­on about our award-win­­ning pro­ject, the schoo­ly­ard of the St. Ursu­la pri­ma­ry school in Ber­­lin-Zehlen­­dorf, and recei­ved the pri­ze. In addi­ti­on to ours, nine other pio­nee­ring spon­ge city pro­jects were hono­u­red. CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTION IN SOCIAL FACILITIES

1st Par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on day in Wittstock/Dosse Tog­e­ther with AWO, we are deve­lo­ping stra­te­gies for two social faci­li­ties to deal with cli­ma­te chan­ge and its con­se­quen­ces and to adapt eco­lo­gi­cal­ly and soci­al­ly to the new con­di­ti­ons.The first par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on day now took place with the resi­dents and staff at the assis­ted living faci­li­ty „Haus unter den Lin­den“ in Wittstock/Dosse, whe­re we were able to gather exci­ting and important impres­si­ons.

Com­pe­ti­ti­on ent­ry with roe­dig . schop In col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with roe­dig . schop archi­tek­ten we took part in the plan­ning and rea­li­sa­ti­on com­pe­ti­ti­on for new apart­ment buil­dings at the Hohe War­te cli­nic in Bay­reuth, Bava­ria.

Com­pe­ti­ti­on ent­ry with LINIE CREUTZ­FELDT In col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with LINIE CREUTZ­FELDT Archi­tek­ten, we took part in the com­pe­ti­ti­on for a new day­ca­re faci­li­ty for child­ren in Savoy­ar­den­stras­se in Endin­gen am Kai­ser­stuhl.

VISITING BERLIN

The dele­ga­ti­on of the Poz­nan City Conservator’s Office, tog­e­ther with the head of the Poz­nan City Archi­tec­tu­ral Office, coun­cil mem­bers and employees of the Office invol­ved in the deve­lo­p­ment of the E. Szyc Sta­di­um in Poz­nan as a com­pe­ti­ti­on jury, went on an excur­si­on to Ber­lin. Various recrea­tio­nal and sports are­as in Ber­lin were visi­ted under the gui­dance of Iza­be­la Mal­chow­s­­ka-Coqui. The­se included Gleis­drei­eck Park, the Süd­park area, as well as inten­si­ve and exten­si­ve natu­ral parks within the city. They also visi­ted Möckern­kiez, loca­ted at Gleis­drei­eck, with archi­tect Chris­toph Roe­dig. This excur­si­on gave the par­ti­ci­pan­ts the oppor­tu­ni­ty to visit various recrea­tio­nal and green are­as and gather inspi­ra­ti­on for the deve­lo­p­ment of the city of Poz­nan.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGION OF BIG RIVERS OF THE LEBUSER LAND — PROGRAM LEADER +

In 2006 the office was inten­si­ve­ly invol­ved in the design and imple­men­ta­ti­on of a pio­nee­ring pro­ject for tou­rism deve­lo­p­ment and eco­no­mic rege­ne­ra­ti­on in rural are­as. The work began with the initia­ti­on of a series of work­shops, con­sis­ting of 8 work­shops, which invol­ved both the admi­nis­tra­ti­on and the resi­dents of five muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the regi­on of the Gre­at River Land­scape in the bor­der­land — Cybin­ka, Słu­bice, Gór­zy­ca, Słońsk and Wit­ni­ca. In par­al­lel, the office sup­port­ed the estab­lish­ment of the ROZ­WÓJ REGI­O­NU WIEL­KICH RZEK ZIE­MI LUBUS­KIEJ Foun­da­ti­on, of which Iza­be­la Malachow­s­­ka-Coqui has been a board mem­ber sin­ce 2006. Through suc­cessful appli­ca­ti­ons, the pro­ject recei­ved a total of 965,000 euros in fun­ding from the Lea­der+ pro­gram. Coope­ra­ti­on with the muni­ci­pa­li­ty of Gór­zy­ca and its com­mit­ted mayor Robert Sto­lar­ski play­ed a key role in the suc­cess of this ambi­tious pro­ject. A total of 50 par­ti­ci­pan­ts took part in the work­shop series, who­se enthu­si­asm and com­mit­ment made a valuable con­tri­bu­ti­on to the posi­ti­ve deve­lo­p­ment of the regi­on.
