Two squares and a street in Warsaw’s gardens: situated in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town, the area surrounding the study area between Swietojerska and Krolewska Streets has an extremely important historical and unique cultural significance for the residents of the city. For this reason, we refer to the area surrounding the study area within the boundaries of the Historic City Complex as the “WARSAW GARDENS” and treat the entire area as a planning area. The three units located in this area are: Bank Square, Senatorska Street and Theater Square have been given a planning treatment based on their urban context emphasizing the distinct character of each unit:

The Bank Square serves as the representative entrance to the Historic City Complex area.

Senatorska Street is the most important of the three historical-cultural east-west axes of the area.

The Theatre Square is centrally located in the Historic City Complex area as the cultural salon of the city.
