The open spaces of the new Facul­ty of Radio and Tele­vi­si­on named after Krzy­sz­tof Kieś­low­ski of the Sile­si­an Uni­ver­si­ty in Katow­ice assu­me the func­tion of con­nec­ting the buil­dings. The squa­re cut out of the block is unders­tood as a point of cont­act with the city mea­dow.

The main squa­re, the show­ca­ses and the roof gar­den impro­ved the uni­fied sur­face. The smal­lest unit of area is the digi­tal “pixel”.By crea­ting a struc­tu­re of mosaic-like “pixels”, it con­trasts with the fac­tu­al, simp­le form of the cuba­tu­re object. “Pixels” have the same shape and are sized to fit the size of a given spa­ti­al unit.
